A BIT OF BACKGROUND

Greetings! You can call me Scotchy, an artist of all sorts of things in all sorts of media, especially digital.I'm an independent freelancer artist wannabe born in the beautiful country of Colombia.I've always been fascinated by nature and animals, and my dream was and still is to become a full-time artist. Unfortunately, that's not the kind of job that pays the bills here in Latin America, so I’m currently studying medicine. C’est la vie!

However, I want to make a part time job out of my art. Living by myself while studying medicine is rough, and while I do not incur unnecessary expenses, I struggle greatly every month, often being late in my bills. :(Because of this, I'm currently opening my commissions all year long! To help pay for my college expenses. :DWanna help a doggy become a doctor? If you're looking for an artist, I assure you I'll give you my best!Tips and donations are very much appreciated. <3

GENERAL INFORMATION

01. My time zone is GMT -502. By commissioning me you agree to the following terms.03. Regular commissions will take between 3 weeks and 2 months to make. Of course, easier ones will take less, and complex ones will take more.04. A rush fee can be discussed if you need the commission to be done as soon as possible for a date that is less than two weeks from the day you commission me. However, I’ll only accept this kind of work for dates that are at least two days (48 hours) away from the day you commission me. The faster you want the work done, the higher the rush fee will be.05. Art is not my main activity and responsibility, because I have to maintain myself as I live alone and I'm enrolled in university.

06. Sometimes housekeeping, homework, and exams in my career are too much to handle. Still, art is my main source of income, so please be patient.07. If it is midterm season for me and I have a lot of university assignments due, if I get really sick, if an emergency, or something unexpected happens, whatever it is that I'm unable to fulfill the deadlines, I’ll contact the commissioner beforehand to inform them of the situation.08. If for any reason I fail to complete the commission by taking more than the 180 days PayPal offers a customer to start a dispute in case their order was never received, I’ll refund 100% of the order even if I was almost finishing it. This applies to Ko-Fi payments as well.

QUEUE & PROCESS

01. I do not do holds on slots. Your place on my commission queue is secured only once I have received the full payment. As soon as I approve your idea, I'll calculate the price and send you an invoice along with a receipt.02. Even though the first to pay will have the priority to get their piece finished first, I work simultaneously with easier and simpler pieces, and thus, finishing them sooner. But in general, it’s first come first serve format.03. I will let you know the turnaround time once your payment has been completed.04. If you want to commission me, send me an email or text me on my social media with your idea. Further details of what you have to tell me, where and how, are said in my about section. Although you may just fill out my commission form. Anyway, include a description of your character and idea for the artwork, references for props, locations, poses, or anything visual that may facilitate the process. Please, I insist, the more information, the better.05. If you don’t have a visual reference, I accept text descriptions. But you have to be as specific as you can. I don’t mind reading long paragraphs as long as you are describing what you want as accurately as possible. I’m not responsible if the buyer wasn’t clear in their description and the final product doesn’t match what was expected and not said.06. I will not make any free changes to the final product unless I missed a detail that was previously mentioned by the buyer (this will be proven via timestamps).

07. Otherwise, if the buyer wants changes to the final product, said changes will incur an extra fee, as I offered multiple opportunities to correct mistakes. I don't fix anything on the finished artwork for free if it was possible to notice earlier.08. The process to get the commission done goes as follows:
A. Approval of the idea → B. Payment → C. Sketch → D. Lineart → E. Base color → F. Shading → G. Painted Render
09. I will send you the sketch after I finish it, so you can make and emphasize any changes you please. After you approve a phase, I'll start the next one. At the lineart phase, just minor changes, scaling, or rotation are allowed. At the coloring phase just color tweaks are allowed. After that, there’s a fee for EVERY change.10. You can know the status of your order in my Trello link. You can ask for WIPs whenever you want, but please do not pressure, rush, or spam me to ask me for daily WIPs, as I have a life and responsibilities besides doing your artwork. :(11. If you want a piece with a particular resolution for a phone or desktop wallpaper, a banner or anything you’d need, let me know.

PAYMENT & REFUNDS

01. I only accept USD payments via PayPal and Ko-Fi.02. Payment is upfront and I will not start the commission until the full price has been paid.03. As soon as you pay, I'll add you to the queue.04. Cancellations and refunds are a hassle to me as I may sometimes pay late bills and debts with commission money as soon as I get it, so please make sure you want to commission me and consider turnaround times before doing so.05. I’ll only do refunds within reason if you have a valid excuse besides “lol I don’t feel like I wanna commission anymore, sorry >w< :3”. However, if you really need a refund, you can request a full one before I start your commission or a partial one as soon as I send the sketch.06. Refunds past the sketch phase are not allowed, unless I say so. All refunds at the sketch phase will deduct the sketch price.07. Full refunds are insured if I failed to finish your drawing within 180 days. No exceptions.

ARTIST & CLIENT RIGHTS

01. I hold the right to reject any order I am uncomfortable doing, if it exceeds my capabilities, if the client is being too overbearing, constantly asking for progress and pressuring me, or if it doesn’t comply with my terms of service.02. I hold copyright for any and all artwork I create. I own all artwork unless commercial rights are paid for.03. Personal use only. You can only repost or share the watermarked version on your personal platforms, or as long as you credit my Twitter or Instagram accounts somewhere if my logo or signature is not visible.04. Please do not edit my art without my permission, unless you’re using filters or making minor changes. However, heavy edits, repaints, resells, or making adoptables out of the art are strictly prohibited.

05. You cannot use any of my art to gain profit first or secondhand in any form, however, an extra fee for commercial use can be discussed.06. Once the artwork is completed, you are NOT allowed to remove my signature or take credit for the artwork.07. I may post commission works to my online galleries, portfolio sites, and social media accounts and I may use it as promotional material.08. I reserve the right to reproduce the piece for profit in the form of digital and tangible goods. Unless, again, commercial rights are paid. Clients will be notified beforehand if their piece is selected for such use and may negotiate the use.09. I may reuse any discarded sketches or canceled commission concepts as the basis for other artwork.
